Life is fast... things are here today, gone tomorrow... children grow up, flowers wilt, the robot changes and we take no notice.
'Take time to smell the roses' - who has time for that?? Seriously, some days I forget to put deo on- its clear I have no time to smell myself, never mind the roses.
How is it that we get caught up in the trap of day to day robotic living and only realise too late that we should have taken notice of the flowers along the way.
Sitting at a funeral service a few weeks back, it hit me again how we only appreciate people/things/life when its too late.... when its gone.
Point of Grace has a song that sums it up perfectly, 'Wear your red dress, use your good dishes, make a big mess and make lots of wishes! .. turn up the music, turn it up loud!.... you wont regret it, looking back from where you have been, cos its not who you knew and its not what you did, its HOW YOU LIVED!'
Join me in my 2013 quest to LIVE! To appreciate each and every day. To really taste and see that HE is good! To smell the roses, the slowly sip the coffee and eat the cake.
Love people, love life, love your saviour but most importantly live TODAY and turn up the music!!
